Job Summary: We require an Electrician to work in the Estates Department to undertake all aspects of electrical engineering work and support the Estates Department in providing a customer-focused service. The role will be based in North Powys, carrying out work at Powys Teaching Health Board sites, with duties across the Health Board and community premises.

Job Responsibilities:

Qualifications and/or Knowledge:
Essential:
1. Training course to a minimum level 3 vocational qualification or equivalent
2. City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent
3. Knowledge of Electricity and Works Regulations 1989
4. Attend all ongoing training relevant to the post
Desirable:
1. Knowledge of fault finding and calibrating specialist hospital equipment
2. Completed an accredited Electrical Apprenticeship
Experience:
Essential:
1. Significant experience of the full range of electrical repair and maintenance
2. 18th Edition IEE regulations and testing and inspection
3. Demonstrable organisational skills
Desirable:
1. Previous experience working on breakdowns and PPM
2. Previous experience working on new installations, control systems, plant and equipment breakdowns, fault finding, rectifications, and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on a wide range of technical, mechanical, and electrical plant and equipment found in a typical complex engineering or healthcare environment
3. Knowledge of various Health and Safety legislation applicable to core trade, ensuring the wellbeing of staff, patients, and visitors
