* Contract: Full time, one-year fixed term
* Hours: Annualised contract of 1260 hours per year. Hours of work will be on a flexible rota system and will be agreed in advance with your line manager and will usually be worked between the hours of 07:00 to 17:30. There may be the occasion when this is exceeded due to school fixtures.

* Salary: GSAL point 16, £24,719 FTE. Actual salary payable £20,489.44 based on 1260 annualised hours
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced sports graduate to join our whole school 3-18 physical education department to further enhance our excellent provision for the academic year of 2025 – 2026.
GSAL has a great reputation for the sports of rugby, netball, cricket, hockey, football, swimming, racket sports, cross country, athletics, strength and conditioning and we also have a thriving health and fitness culture for extracurricular activities. Although we do not expect an extensive knowledge of all activities, we would require candidates to be enthusiastic and willing to coach a variety of sports, primarily netball and hockey.
As part of an enthusiastic team delivering top quality teaching and coaching, applicants should be prepared to offer a range of activities along with a sport which they are both confident and consider themselves a specialist in.
Successful candidates will work alongside our other physical education staff to supplement the co-curricular program with a willingness to work in both the Primary and Secondary phase of learning. The sports graduates will have responsibilities in all aspects of physical education and sport including curricular and co-curricular fixtures as required by school.
The post would be suited to someone wishing to pursue a career in physical education teaching and the school provide valuable CPD opportunities such as the National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaching.
