Job summary
Our company is searching for an experienced and proactive Financial Officer to work in a busy team. In this role, you will accurately oversee the companys financial transactions, develop budgets/forecasts, prepare financial reports, and monitor all transactions.
You will also be a team player, positive with a can-do attitude. You will be able to articulate financial data to a varied audience. You will be able to work on your own initiative, provide feedback, solutions to issue and write financial protocols and procedures.
Your duties will include resolving financial disputes, supporting executives, preparing balance sheets, and processing invoices.
The ideal candidate will have experience using financial software such as Xero, however training will be provided for our operational systems such as Lantum, Systm1 etc. Having worked within the NHS/Health Care/GP Practice environment would be desirable, although not essential.
Main duties of the job
Maintain accurate transaction records
Review/Approve/Process invoices/timesheets and prepare financial statements
Reconcile banking and conduct financial audits
Prepare budgets
Review the businesss financial policies
Ensure all legal requirements are met
Payroll production
To be a point of contact for various stakeholders such as suppliers/accountants/employees
To file for the accountants, such as, tax returns, companies house, HMRC and end of year financial reports
To complete any adhoc duties required as requested by the senior management team

Tomonitor and manage systems including Sage
Toprovide budgets for multiple services run by the company
Tobe responsible for making/authorising bank payments in a timely manner twice amonth as a minimum
Tofile for the accountants, such as, tax returns, companies house, HMRC.
Toinput into payroll spreadsheets authorised timesheets and notes, as instructedby the Operations Manager
Managingpayment/finance queries
Creating invoices accordingly, as well as when requested
Pointof contact for accountants
Toassist with the gathering of statistics and information when required.
Toestablish and maintain filing and administrative systems so that written orelectronic information is easily accessible and secure.
To be a point of contact for shareholders, as well as monitoring selling/buyingback shares.
To monitor NHS Pensions schemes

Essential
1. Maths and problem-solving skills
2. Project management skills
3. Advanced Microsoft Office skills
4. Solid knowledge of accounting and financial procedures
5. Knowledge of financial regulations and laws
6. Proven work experience as a Finance Officer or similar role
7. Experience using financial software such as Xero
8. Excellent analytical and numerical skills

10. Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data

11. A Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Studies
12. Two A Levels
13. At least two GCSEs, including English and Maths
14. BSc or AAT degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
15. Professional qualification as a CFA/CPA is considered a plus
