An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Support Technician to join our Team in the Children’s OutpatientDepartment at Ipswich Hospital.
Clinical Support Technicians are a key part of our team and support the Registered Nurses and medical teams in providing high quality care to our patients.

If you like to be challenged, are able to work in a fast paced environment, working as part of a team and have experience of working with Children across the age continuum, then this could be the job for you.
As part of the role you will need excellent communication skills and the clinical skills required to undertake a number of procedures to facilitate patient care and treatments. This includes but not limited to;
• Running of blood clinic Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays
• Venepuncture, Cannulation
• working in outpatients-heights and weights of children, ECG
• Chaperoning clinic
· Tosupporttheclinicalhealthcareteaminmaintaininganefficientenvironment within Outpatients.
· Toundertakeclinicalskillsefficientlythatwillinturnenablepatientstohaveappropriate investigations and the means to receive treatment
· Toworkeffectively,asaClinicalSupportTechnician(CST)whocanplanandprioritiseworkload.
· Toberesponsibleforeffectivecommunication withthewiderhealthcareteam
· Toworkflexiblytomeetthedemandsoftheservice
· Tosupportpatients,relatives/carers attending the Children’s Outpatient Department
· ToworkwithinTrust,DivisionalandUnitGuidelinesandCompetencies
