From the start of July, your focus will shift to working with our Visitor Experience team to deliver our exciting, pop-up Summer of Play festival. Running between 5 July and 2 September, Summer of Play transforms the historic Stableyard and the Summer of Play Meadow into pop-up play spaces, with activities for all ages from music making, to trying your hand at archery or scaling the mighty straw castle.

Working with the team, you'll become the champion of the Summer of Play pop-up areas, spending the day moving between the two locations to ensure that presentation standards remain high, and to engage with families as they play. You'll conduct our daily routine safety checks prior to the meadow opening and you'll support and work alongside our craft volunteer team to deliver drop-in activities for children and families on weekdays. At weekends, you'll welcome and support visiting suppliers who will deliver a range of art and circus based workshops.
