Registered Nurse – Renal Dialysis Unit
This post is eligible for a Welcome Bonus of £2,500* (taxable) for successful candidates, split into 2 instalments, one at passing probation (6 months) and the next at 18 months in post (pro rata if applicable). What does the role involve?
Dialysis nursing requires commitment and passion along with the skills and competencies to juggle the technical nursing aspect whilst giving holistic care. You will be working autonomously, responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation, and evaluation of care for dialysis patients with chronic kidney disease or acute kidney injury.
Scarborough Dialysis Unit operates 10 haemodialysis stations, serving up to 40 patients, in partnership with Hull & East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust using only the latest equipment. Nursing is planned at a ratio of 1:4 patients.
This is a part-time role of 23 hours a week. Current days are working various shifts between 6.30am to 6.15pm Monday/Wednesday/Friday and 6.30am to 12.30pm Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday.
