Senior Security Analyst
Remote - Ad hoc travel
Up to £65,000
VIQU are seeking a Senior Security Analyst to join a non-profit organisation who work to support the London Insurance Market.
They are seeking a Senior Security Analyst to join their small security team, working across a wide range of projects to support the security operations, security assurance, risk management, governance and compliance.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Security Analyst:
* Monitor and analyse security events to detect and address threats and vulnerabilities.
* Collaborate with various teams to implement effective security controls and risk management strategies.
* Coordinate external penetration tests to identify weaknesses in systems, services, and applications.
* Conduct Third Party Security Assessments.
* Assist in developing and enforcing security policies, standards, and procedures.
* Support compliance efforts, including ISO 27001 certification and other relevant frameworks.
* Participate in incident response and contribute to security incident investigations.
* Provide security awareness training to staff and promote a security-conscious culture.
* Stay updated with industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices.
Essential Requirements of the Senior Security Analyst:
* 5+ years' experience in roles such as Security Analyst, Risk Management, or similar positions.
* Deep technical knowledge of cloud platform security technologies, including but not limited to Microsoft Defender and Endpoint.
* Understanding of wider general infrastructure with Windows and Microsoft.
* Broad exposure to various security practices, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the field.
* Proficient in ISO 27001, NIST, and other pertinent security standards.
* Demonstrated experience in managing Microsoft Entra ID & M365, including Intune, Purview, and Microsoft Defender.
* Skilled in performing security assessments and continuous monitoring to ensure robust security postures.
* Previous experience working with ISO 27001, NIST, and other recognized security frameworks.
* Possession of relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CEH, or similar is highly desirable.
* Background in working within the financial services sector is preferred.
