We are looking for an Operations Supervisor to run the day-to-day operations for our Bristol site team.
As an Operations Supervisor, you'll be involved with the planning, coordination, and control of all site services operations for the Bristol Hub. You'll ensure services are provided efficiently and meet clients’ time frames to a high level of quality. You will work with other departments to ensure client requests are met and will report to the Regional Operations Manager.
You will need to have:
1. Proven technical and industry experience with planning and organization skills to effectively run and monitor site services.
2. The ability to act decisively and solve staff or equipment-related problems.
3. ICT literacy.
4. The ability to deal with various technologies and programs with attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality.
5. The ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with your team and clients.
6. The ability to work under pressure and motivate others to meet tight deadlines.
7. Ability to work in a logical, systematic manner.
Responsibilities you will need to:
1. Oversee all site services and testing schedules.
2. Decide what resources are required.
3. Draft timescales for the contracts.
4. Monitor the testing processes and adjust schedules as needed.
5. Work with Managers and Directors to implement the company's policies and goals.
6. Be part of setting the quality standards with the Senior Management.
7. Be responsible for monitoring and maintenance of equipment.
8. Identify training needs and compile training records.
9. Assist with the implementation of quality-control programs.
10. Maintain the Quality Management System/Procedures at the laboratory.
11. Notify nonconforming work and complaints to Operations Manager/Quality Manager.
12. Ensure all procedures/standards are current/updated and followed.
13. Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed.
14. Supervise and motivate the site team of workers and review worker performance.
Role Performance Measures:
1. Timely completion of test schedules.
2. Accountability for output levels and team productivity rates.
3. Accuracy of administration and attention to detail control of overtime appropriate to workload.
4. Health & Safety adherence.
5. Quality control procedure adherence.
Experience:
Minimum 4 years’ experience of working in a laboratory/site environment.
Understanding of the demands of ISO 17025 accredited laboratory.
Technical understanding of construction testing within the role.
Working hours:
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and will need a clean driver’s license.
