Due to the programme's security requirements, you must be a single UK national with UK DV Security Clearance or be eligible to obtain it. This role is fully on-site near Chippenham, 5 days a week. Your future duties and responsibilities: As a Technical Infrastructure Architect, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimising complex IT infrastructures and security solutions. You will be responsible for developing scalable, secure architectures leveraging VMware Cloud Foundation, NSX, and VxRail, ensuring compliance with business and security requirements. Your role will involve designing and integrating cross-domain solutions that facilitate secure data exchange while maintaining system integrity. You will work on architecting and optimising network solutions, including NSX, to enhance both performance and security. You will also be responsible for implementing and managing Single Sign-On (SSO) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions to strengthen authentication and security. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be vital to define technical roadmaps and drive innovation. In this role, you will: • Develop and implement scalable and secure IT architectures using VMware Cloud Foundation, NSX, and VxRail. • Design and integrate cross-domain solutions to enable secure data exchange across environments. • Architect and optimise network solutions to enhance both performance and security. • Implement and manage SSO and PAM solutions to strengthen authentication security. • Collaborate with engineering and security teams to ensure best practices and compliance standards are met. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: To succeed in this role, you will need a deep technical background and experience working within Defence environments. You should have a strong understanding of modern IT infrastructures and a proven track record of designing and implementing secure, scalable solutions in a high-security setting. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively are essential for this role. You must have extensive expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation, NSX, and VxRail, along with a deep understanding of networking principles and security best practices. Experience in architecting and optimising network solutions, implementing security enhancements, and working within complex IT environments is crucial. Additionally, a proactive approach to staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies is highly desirable. We're looking for a range of the following: • Proven experience working within Defence environments, ensuring compliance with high-security requirements. • Strong expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation, NSX, and VxRail to develop and manage virtualised environments. • In-depth knowledge of networking principles and security best practices. • Experience with implementing and managing SSO and PAM solutions for enhanced security. • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills to work effectively across teams.
