Here at Academics LTD, I am working with a fantastic three-form entry Primary school in Kingston to recruit an ADHD Teaching Assistant to work alongside a child in Year 5 with ADHD. The child needs support 5 mornings a week to help him in class to stay on track and access the curriculum.
This role would suit an experienced Teaching Assistant or a graduate/Level 3 qualified person who is keen to learn and develop their skills working with children with ADHD.
The school offers full in-house training and there is a very experienced and supportive SENCo who will help the successful teaching assistant settle into their new role.
This role would suit a Teaching Assistant who has a proactive and caring approach to work with children with ADHD. The child displays good behaviour; however, he can become dysregulated and may need to be taken out of class from time to time. You will need to be patient and comfortable learning and delivering de-escalation strategies to support the child when needed.
This would be a perfect role for a Teaching Assistant who would like to develop their skill set ahead of further training to become an SEN Teacher or Educational Psychologist.
For further details and to book your interview, please contact me today with your CV. Interviews will be held the week commencing 6th January.
