Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Primary Assistant/Deputy Head to provide leadership and support during the Summer Term. This temporary role will involve working closely with the Headteacher and senior leadership team to ensure the smooth running of the school. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, a passion for primary education, and the ability to inspire and support staff and students alike.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the leadership and management of the school.
* Support the Headteacher in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the school.
* Ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
* Collaborate with teachers to ensure high standards of teaching and learning across the school.
* Lead and manage specific school initiatives or projects as directed.
* Support and mentor staff, promoting professional development.
* Engage with parents and the local community to strengthen school partnerships.
* Oversee the wellbeing of students and staff, ensuring a positive school culture.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Previous experience in a leadership role within a primary school, ideally as a Deputy Head or Assistant Head.
* Strong understanding of primary education, curriculum, and school management.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* A passion for helping children succeed and promoting a nurturing, inclusive school culture.
* Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders (staff, parents, governors, and the wider community).
Desirable Attributes:
* Previous experience in a primary leadership role (Assistant/Deputy Head).
* Strong knowledge of the Primary Curriculum and assessment practices.
* Experience in leading school improvement initiatives.
* A calm and proactive approach to problem-solving.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
