They are looking for a Food Procurement Professional to join their extremely busy Buying Team based in West Yorkshire. About the job
In this fast-paced and challenging role, your responsibilities will include:
* Accurately inputting bills of raw materials and their availability as well as managing MRP systems maintaining stock levels within the business
* Communicating and updating suppliers, order inputting within the time frames allocated along with category requirements
* Coordinating with various teams on sales forecasting, resolving any queries as effectively and efficiently as possible, including supporting the logistics team
* Managing stock rotation and stock age ensuring any issues are resolved, supporting with administrative tasks to ensure system information is accurate
* Reviewing supplier performance and making suggestions on solutions which enhance business efficiency
* Providing support to the Buying team, ensuring all on time, in full deliveries and communicating if any issues with internal and external stakeholders
About you
You will be a talented and passionate procurement, supply chain or buying professional, preferable with experience in the food sector, whether that be Retail, Wholesale or Food Manufacturing. You will have a proven track record in sourcing and building relationships with suppliers where you will have demonstrable success in delivering cost saving Buying solutions. You will also have exceptional communication and influencing skills as well as a high level of commerciality and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with ever-changing priorities.
