Where you fit in: As an Operational Field Manager, you will be responsible for driving and managing operational performance through effective management. This will be across a range of wastewater assets to achieve our company vision and our Performance Commitments, Pollution Incidents, Waste Stability and Reliability Factors, Customer Service, and Optimal Energy Consumption. The role will involve internal and external key stakeholder liaison, supporting departments to prevent asset failure, drive mitigation and resolution of wastewater asset risks/failures and ensure our regulatory targets and key business objectives are achieved. You will be accountable for all aspects of the Operational Field Team P&L, including business plan creation, forecasting, preparing of mid- month and month end financial performance reports, whilst providing assurance to the Head of WWPP that financial governance is being adhered to in-line with Financial Regulations. You will work with our maintenance department to plan asset return to service and be accountable for wastewater performance within your region. What skills & qualifications you will need: Experienced customer focused, people leader with proven success in managing large field-based teams, in busy operations environment, managing day to day reactive workloads. Experience of Health and Safety management processes and systems and excellent knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety standards (preferably IOSH qualified). Ability to performance manage awareness required of actions on performance measures (pollution, flooding (internal, external and S&R). Experience of budget management (business planning and delivering to stretching plan). Experience of delivering against challenging business targets and realising KPIs in a sustainable and safe way. Influential, able to negotiate and challenge effectively. Proficient in all corporate safety and SAP IT systems. Rigorous attention to detail to ensure fix first time and right first time performance. Planning ability - identifying priorities and actions to assist in delivering results. A full valid Driving Licence (with no more than six points) You will also benefit from having: Prior knowledge of the wastewater industry.
