UCFB are looking for an Academic Quality Officer (Resolutions). This is a temporary position, covering Maternity Leave. The Academic Quality Department plays a key role in maintaining the Institution’s academic quality standards, and is also the administrative focus for student complaints. The post holder will use their academic quality knowledge and experience to coordinate and provide high quality and well informed support for the Institution’s complaints and misconduct processes and procedures. Key Tasks Acting as the Institution complaints and misconduct coordinator for: - Student complaint cases - Student misconduct and disciplinary cases - Academic misconduct cases - Fitness to Practice cases Acting as the first point of contact for students, staff or external stakeholders with questions / seeking support in relation to complaints and misconduct policies and procedures Providing the highest standard of case work organisation and administrative support ensuring procedural compliance with the appropriate Institution and/or validating partner regulations. Working closely with colleagues across Registry Departments to ensure that, where appropriate, case outcomes are recorded on the Institution’s student records system. Supporting the Head of Department (Academic Quality) as required with any cases that proceed to appeals stages and / or onwards to the Office of the Independent Adjudicator (OIA). Creating and maintaining ‘quick and easy’ on-line guides for students and staff to support understanding and compliance with the complaints and misconduct policies and procedures. Identifying requirements for further guidance and training and working with senior colleagues within the Academic Quality Department and validating partner/s to: - develop and deliver training workshops - source external training materials and advertise them appropriately to staff Please see Job description for further details and Person specification.
