On-Site Painters for Structural Steel Passionate about precision and quality in painting? We're looking for a skilled On-Site Painter to join our team, based in the North East with nationwide travel opportunities. Van / PPE, Tools & Equipment provided. X2 PIC Painters ('person in charge' to deal with the onsite client, ensuring safety and following instructions etc and specifications. The Person in Charge (PIC) will need to have a diplomatic and pragmatic approach to dealing with the challenges on a construction site.) Rates: £16.50ph / OT1 £24.75ph / OT2 £33ph x2 Painters to work alongside PIC Rates: £15.00ph / OT1 £22.50ph / OT2 £30ph On site 48 hours working (Site opening hours will apply) In the factory 44. 5 - 6/7am to 4pm 5pm Monday to Thursday 7.5 hours on a Friday worked between 6am and 1.30pm. Occasional requirement to work other hours which are outside of these hours which requires working flexibility. Key Responsibilities: - Inspect and prepare steel surfaces meticulously to meet project requirements. - Apply primers according to manufacturer specifications. - Use brushing, rolling, and spraying methods for primers, intermediate, and top coats. - Ensure consistent coverage and thickness without imperfections. - Apply fire protection coatings precisely to meet safety standards. - Ensure correct application for required fire resistance ratings. - Conduct touch-ups and maintain steel connections for optimal protection. - Regularly inspect painted surfaces for quality and consistency, making necessary touch-ups. - Prioritise safety following protocols and wearing appropriate PPE. - Comply with UK regulations for material disposal. Experience and Qualifications: - Proven industrial painting experience, especially in structural steel fabrication. - Proficiency with primers from renowned manufacturers. - Familiarity with fire protection coatings and painting techniques. - Ability to interpret technical documents and uphold quality standards. - Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills. - Physically fit to work in diverse conditions and heights with a clean driving license. - Certification in SMSTS or SSSTS, along with IPAF certification. - Preferred qualifications include industrial painting training and ICorr Level 1 paint certification
