Maintenance Operative Job Title: Maintenance Operative Location: Attending Multi-site Bupa care homes in the Southampton area Salary: £12.60 - £16.00 per hour dependent on experience Contract: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week We make health happen Here at Bupa, we support those when they need it the most. As a Maintenance Operative, you’ll ensure the care home remains functional at all times and our residents have a safe and comfortable environment. Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role: A good understanding of building services including, heating, hot and cold water distribution, ventilation, electrical distribution and plumbing. A good understanding of building fabric and its maintenance. Practical experience of planned maintenance systems and record keeping. Knowledge of relevant statutory requirements and experience of compliance. A full driving licence and willing to support neighbouring Bupa care homes. A minimum of 3 years hand on experience in property maintenance and general repairs, or building/electrical/plumbing qualification (City & Guilds, BTEC, ONC, HNC etc) Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Computer literate. Good Customer service skills. Be flexible to meet changing demands within the care home. Practical ability and experience in painting and decorating.
