Job summary Hampshire and IOW Liaison and Diversion are excited to be recruiting for a Crown Court Liaison and Diversion Practitionerto be based at Southampton Crown Court. We're looking for a qualified Mental Health nurse, Learning Disabilities nurse, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, or Practitioner Psychologist to join our team. You will have a keen interest in Liaison and Diversion and a passion for supporting service users who are navigating the Criminal Justice System. Main duties of the job Police Vetting is part of the recruitment process and clearance is a requirement for this post. You will lead and sustain a comprehensive Liaison & Diversion Service at Southampton Crown Court and have input into police custody suites and magistrates' courts across Hampshire. You will provide leadership support to colleagues in police custody suites and magistrates' courts. As well as ensuring assessments are undertaken, you'll provide advice and identify robust care pathways for people with a potential health vulnerability You will provide the police and court with written and verbal information about service users to inform decision making. You will work closely with key stakeholders within court and custody. Organising and managing your workload to meet deadlines.
