More about the role:
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic General Manager to lead the food and drink operations across a range of services, including a private members' club, meetings and events, staff dining, off-site community sports venue café, and public café. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving innovation, ensuring financial accountability, overseeing food safety, and maintaining health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. General Management:
o Lead and oversee all food and beverage operations, ensuring high service standards.
o Inspire the management team for the day-to-day operations of the private members' club.
o Develop and implement operational strategies for each business segment.
2. Client Liaison & Relationship Management:
o Act as the primary liaison between the food and drink business and members.
o Conduct monthly meetings with clients to review P&L and performance.
o Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and members.
3. Innovation & Service Development:
o Drive innovation within the food and beverage offerings.
o Work closely with chefs and vendors to develop new concepts.
o Enhance the drink service by introducing new cocktails and improving service standards.
4. Financial Accountability & Reporting:
o Oversee financial management for all food and beverage operations.
o Review monthly P&L statements and provide feedback to management.
o Monitor revenue streams and implement growth strategies.
5. Food Safety & Health and Safety:
o Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health policies.
o Develop staff training programs focused on food safety.
o Audit facilities to ensure adherence to health standards.
6. Event & Meeting Operations:
o Lead food and beverage operations for year-round events.
o Manage catering for off-site venues.
o Ensure a seamless dining experience for all events.
7. Staff Management & Development:
o Recruit, train, and manage a diverse team.
o Develop staff schedules for peak periods.
o Foster a positive work environment.
8. Marketing & Promotions:
o Collaborate with the marketing team to promote offerings.
o Implement promotional campaigns and themed events.
9. Quality Control & Customer Satisfaction:
o Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
o Gather and evaluate customer feedback.
o Lead improvements based on customer insights.

* Proven experience in food and beverage management.
* Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L.
