About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team. This role involves managing software and hardware projects for a large retail customer, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, in either software or hardware-based businesses, excellent stakeholder management skills, and experience in retail or a related industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with customer and business objectives.
2. Line manage the Project Support coordinator and their associated priorities.
3. Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, framework reporting and budgets.
4. Work closely with the production, warehouse and logistics teams ensuring that Customer stock is accurate, shipments are accurate and on time and that orders are closed out and invoiced in a timely manner.
5. Ensure governance and compliance with PRINCE2 methodologies and best practices.
6. Manage stakeholder relationships, including senior retail customer representatives and internal teams.
7. Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project delivery.
8. Oversee project documentation, reporting, and communication with all relevant internal / external stakeholders.
9. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution.
10. Drive continuous improvement by reviewing project outcomes and implementing lessons learned.
Key Skills & Experience:
1. Proven experience managing large-scale & multiple projects in either a software or hardware-based business.
2. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
3. Excellent problem-solving and risk management abilities.
4. Strong communication and presentation skills.
5. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
6. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Trello, or similar).
7. Experience with Agile methodologies.
8. Familiarity with retail systems, supply chain, or eCommerce projects.
9. Experience working in a consultancy or service delivery role.
