We are currently looking to recruit proactive and conscientious Bars Supervisor with a genuine passion for the industry, for our busy bars located within our busy hotel. You will have a ‘hands-on’ approach with the ability to lead, inspire and motivate the team. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Management team, as Bars Supervisor you will be responsible for the day to day running and organisation of the main Lounge Bar and also our busy function bars.
Your main responsibilities will include:
1. Monitor, maintain and actively be involved in the team training plan to ensure the high standard levels are met and maintained.
2. Actively take part in the achievement of hotel standards.
3. Ensure that the Bars are fully staffed to anticipated business levels.
4. Ensure all cleaning tasks are being completed to the highest of standards and in a timely manner.
5. Provide effective and proactive leadership to the whole bar team whilst on duty.
6. Ensure that all team members are fully briefed prior to each service.
7. Communicate effectively with the Duty Manager on shift throughout every service to ensure a smooth run service.
8. Communicate with the restaurant effectively to offer drinks service within each and every service session.
9. Provide a warm welcome for all guests.
10. Provide lounge service in the Lounge bar, as per the hotel standards, including welcoming guests, offering advice on the products on offer and also the Lounge food menu and dishes available, table service, processing payments, etc.
11. Anticipate guests' needs whenever possible and react to these in a friendly and efficient manner to enhance guest satisfaction and exceed expectations.
12. Assist in the general tidiness and cleanliness of the bars, ensuring the bars are ready for service and all food and beverage areas are set to the required layout.
13. Ensure the Company Health and Safety, Food Safety and COSHH legislations are adhered to at all times.
14. Take part in Duty Management shifts globally within the hotel as and when required. Whilst completing Duty Management shifts you will be responsible for the day to day running of the hotel.
Ideally, we are looking for a candidate with the following personal attributes:
1. Experience in a similar role.
2. Excellent communication skills.
3. Able to communicate in a clear, friendly and courteous manner.
4. Pro-active with excellent awareness and an eye for detail.
5. A positive person with a passion for delivering great guest service.
Hours are mainly evening and weekend based, set out on a rota basis; however, these can be varied as per the business needs.
