We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Site Supervisor to join our team and help maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and functionality across the school grounds. Role Overview: As a Site Supervisor at our school, you will play a key role in ensuring that the school’s buildings, grounds, and facilities are safe, well-maintained, and conducive to an excellent learning environment. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day site maintenance, supervising site contractors, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Ensure the school buildings, classrooms, outdoor areas, and facilities are well-maintained and clean at all times. Conduct regular checks and inspections to identify and address maintenance needs. Manage repairs and maintenance tasks, ensuring they are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner. Oversee the security of the site, including unlocking and locking up buildings, setting alarms, and managing site access. Liaise with external contractors and suppliers for site-related services and repairs. Monitor and maintain the school's health and safety protocols, including fire safety equipment and emergency procedures. Assist with the setup and clearing of the school hall and other areas for events and activities. Ensure the safe operation of the heating, lighting, and plumbing systems. Provide support to the school leadership team in ensuring the site is ready for school events and special activities. Key Skills and Qualifications: Previous experience in site management, maintenance, or facilities management, ideally in an educational or public sector environment. A practical, hands-on approach to solving maintenance and site-related issues. Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with staff, contractors, and visitors. A good understanding of health and safety regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a safe environment. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility and the ability to respond to urgent situations as they arise. A good level of physical fitness, as the role may involve manual tasks and moving equipment.
