Overview
We are seeking a Medical Writer I to join Langland's Medical Strategy & Education team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong writing ability who are capable of communicating complex scientific concepts clearly and accurately. You will work closely with senior writers to produce high-quality medical education materials for our clients. Additionally, you will benefit from a range of personal and professional development opportunities through our Early Careers Programme.
Responsibilities
* Develop scientifically accurate and creative content within set timelines and budget, maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and integrity in your work.
* Gain a strong understanding of assigned therapeutic areas and stay informed about emerging trends and advancements in the field.
* Conduct fact-checking and reference verification of colleagues' work to ensure content accuracy and validity.
* Collaborate directly with clients on the development and delivery of content.
* Provide research and content support for new business initiatives as required.
* Ensure all content complies with relevant industry codes of practice and regulations.
Qualifications
Your Skills And Experience
* A Bachelor’s degree in life sciences (2:1 or above), ideally with a Master’s degree or PhD.
* Relevant experience from academia or non-medical communications, or less than 1 year of medical writing experience in a medical communications agency or an in-house pharmaceutical communications team, demonstrating:
o The ability to write engaging, scientifically accurate content.
o Strong skills in assimilating, interpreting, and communicating complex medical/scientific topics effectively.
o Confidence in discussing medical/scientific subjects both in writing and verbally.
o Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
