I'm working with a respected MEP consultancy that's expanding their team due to a strong pipeline of mission-critical work. They're now looking for a Junior Electrical Design Engineer with 1-3 years' experience to support the design and coordination of power, lighting, and containment systems on a major DC scheme.
You'll be part of a collaborative team where you'll gain exposure to all stages of design, from concept to construction, and develop your technical skills in a sector that's rapidly growing.
What you'll be doing:
Assisting with the production of electrical designs, calculations, and load assessments
Supporting senior engineers on reports, specifications, and technical submissions
Working with BIM teams to coordinate drawings and services
Attending internal design meetings and client workshops
Building knowledge of data centre requirements, standards, and systems
What you'll need:
1-3 years' experience in building services or electrical design (consultancy background preferred)
Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or Building Services
Familiarity with software like AutoCAD, Dialux/Relux, and ideally Revit
A genuine interest in complex building systems and a career in mission-critical design
Right to work in the UK
