We have an outstanding opportunity for a Simulation Data Scientist to join our Data Science team, where you will help tackle meaningful problems across the business from stores to online Our team works on problems from multiple business areas and as such a key part of the role will be to develop reusable, manageable, and deployable simulation components so Tesco can solve more problems quickly and easily. This is a hybrid role based out of our Welwyn Garden City office. At Tesco, we believe in the power of spending more time together, face to face, than apart. So, during your working week, you can expect to spend 60% of your time in one of our office locations or local sites and the rest remotely. We also recognise that life looks a little different for each of us. Some people are at the start of their careers, some want the freedom to do the things they love. Others are going through life-changing moments like becoming a carer, nearing retirement, adapting to parenthood, or something else. That’s why at Tesco, we always welcome a conversation about flexible working. So, talk to us throughout your application about how we can support. Define, develop, and validate simulation models whilst working closely with different stakeholders to translate business problems into simulation solutions. Validate, document and present the simulation modelling process and outcomes in a clear, understandable way to non technical experts. Drive innovation and own aspects of the project development lifecycle whilst helping to build and maintain relationships with various business partners Mentor junior members of the team and/or interns. Promote data science across Tesco and the external Data Science community.
