We are working exclusively with a client based in Plymouth seeking a Business Administrator to join a vibrant and thriving Engineering business whose ethos centres around sustainability and innovative solutions. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting day-to-day operations, offering business administration support and contributing to our clients' long-term strategic goals. Key Responsibilities:
1. Delivering exceptional assistance to internal and external stakeholders through phone, email, and face-to-face communication.
2. Inbox management for the Group, ensuring items for action are effectively recorded, prioritised, and progressed as necessary.
3. Answer incoming calls on behalf of the Group, taking detailed notes and forwarding messages as needed. Additionally, greet visitors at the reception desk, ensure adherence to sign-in/out procedures, and schedule appointments.
4. Assist senior management in advancing strategic initiatives by contributing to the preparation of reports, presentations, and other essential documents.
5. Collaborate with the team on administrative tasks for priority projects.
6. Assist with procurement administration.
7. Assist with booking meetings, transportation, and hotel accommodation where necessary.
8. Maintain and update company records, databases, and filing systems where required.
9. Drive continuous improvement and innovation.
10. Maintain trust and confidence when dealing with sensitive information.
Essential Experience / Qualifications and Candidate Attributes Required:
1. Recent, proven experience in a busy, fast-paced administration role.
2. Proficiency with business management systems and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, SharePoint, Word, and Excel).
3. Strong maths and computer skills.
4. Confident communicator and highly organised.
5. Detailed planning and time management skills.
