Systems and Data Privacy Advisor - 12 month Fixed Term Contract

The UK Land and Property (UKLP) department adds value to National Grid’s land and property assets and enables supports the business through safe, effective and efficient property services and solutions. Bringing insights to customers and stakeholders, we manage over 3,000 hectares of operational land and the access to ensure National Grid can safely and efficiently maintain over 4,500 miles of overhead line, around 900 miles of underground cable and associated assets.
As a Systems and Data Privacy Advisor, you'll be responsible for activity pertaining to data and systems, including compliance elements, throughout UKLP.
This role is based from Warwick and you can enjoy our hybrid working from office and home.
Key accountabilities
* Partner with UKLP and National Grid teams as our systems expert to understand and support with the delivery of new and existing systems’ requirements/solutions including compliance & regulatory actions, licence management and training.
* Undertake the role of UKLP’s SharePoint systems controller with an in-depth understanding of SharePoint, together with accountability for ongoing maintenance and updating of the UKLP site.
* Undertake the role of UKLP Data Champion & Records Co-ordinator, inclusive of: Privacy Champion, Data Forum lead & lead on our Data BMS implementation and adherence, retention, data classification, data tagging.
* Support UKLP and National Grid data and systems activity through working with UKLP teams and NG IT to support the practice of effective data management and governance through our data principles.
* Act as a core member of our Data community within National Grid Group and as our UKLP data lead delivering core projects and supporting our UKLP digital maturity journey.
* Support, facilitate and foster a culture of seamless cross-function working within the team, UKLP, National Grid and our external supplier teams.
About you
* Experience and proficient working knowledge of Office 365 and SharePoint.
* Understanding of technological platforms to deliver data management and governance.
* Understanding of systems and applications to support UKLP.
* Understanding of GDPR principles, obligations, policy and practices.
* Understanding of Information and Records Management (IRM) obligations, policy and practices.
* Good communication skills and stakeholder management.
* Ability to work with little supervision.
What you'll get
A competitive salary between £46,000 - £50,000 – dependent on capability. This role is offered on a 12 month fixed term contract.
