Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
Duties will include all aspects of horse care, e.g:
* Grooming
* Mucking out
* Trimming and clipping
* Plaiting
* Lunging training
* Riding and exercise of horses
* Health care
* Feeding
* Assisting with customer care and experience

* You will be working towards the Level 2 Equine Groom apprenticeship
* All training will be done at the employer's premises with the employer and supported by Sheldrake Training
* If you have not achieved grade 4/C or above in maths and English already, Sheldrake Training will support you to complete Functional Skills in these qualifications at Level 2 (equivalent to grade 4 GCSE)
