Construction Health and Safety Advisor
London/Cambridge/Reading/Swindon – Site travel

Salary up to £35,000 - £40,000 + Company Benefits
One of the UKs leading consultancies is looking to grow their team with the addition of a Construction Health & Safety Advisor.
You will be given the training, mentoring and an opportunity to join an established construction consultancy providing a range of services across the built environment. The practice delivers accurate advice in the construction sector mainly but have a diverse portfolio of clients in the ship building, retail, commercial, healthcare, science, education and industrial sectors.
The opportunity is to work in collaboration with the close-knit team providing a comprehensive range of services across construction projects across the UK. You will liaise with important stakeholders and manage client relations. As a Construction H&S Advisor you will oversee schemes in London and the surrounding home counties.

Responsibilities
• Informing and assisting clients in discharging their duties at each stage of the process under CDM 2015.
• Visiting sites and carrying out an initial appraisal to establish existing hazards and site restrictions.
• Carrying out site inspections during the construction phase to monitor compliance.
• Undertaking site H&S inspections and report writing.
• Attendance at team meetings, workshops, and project progress meetings.
• Assist contractors with hazard identification, offering practical sensible solutions to eliminate or control hazards and reduce risk.
• Advising and assisting clients on competence requirements.
• Assist with the preparation and review of documentation and safe systems of work for clients.
Construction Health and Safety Advisor
• Construction related qualification (Desirable)
• Minimum of 12 month in a similar role.
• NEBOSH in Construction or equivalent qualification
• Membership to IOSH, APS, IIRSM, CIOB, or similar professional body. (Desirable)
• Good understanding of construction health and safety and the CDM Regulations 2015.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Full UK driver’s license
