MPI have a requirement for a Composite Repair Supervisor (GRP) to work on site at RAF Syerston, Newark on Trent, NG23 5NN (bordering Lincolnshire)
Full Time, Permanent (39 hours per week)

Our Client has an exciting role as a Composite Repair (GRP) Supervisor. You will carry out the role of producer and supervisor in the Composite Repair (GRP) Supervisor Bay environment in order to deliver aircraft and engineering support to meet the contract requirements.
You will carry out the responsibilities and duties of support staff in accordance with Military Aviation Authority Regulatory Publication Regulatory Article 4801 and Part 145.
You will lead and manage a team carrying out GRP repairs and Surface Finish (SF) activities on Viking aircraft at RAF Syerston and other locations throughout the UK. You will carry out associated roles and duties as directed by the business needs.
Main accountabilities:
* Fulfil the responsibilities and duties of our clients Staff with Supervisory Responsibilities in accordance with our clients GMS policies and military regulatory policies.
* Carry out, initially, basic GRP repairs then leading to major repairs, iaw the Aircraft Document Set (ADS) on Viking aircraft at RAF Syerston and 2 Flying Training School (FTS) locations/Volunteer Gliding Squadrons (VGSs)/detachments throughout the UK.
* Leadership, management, supervision and control of GRP and Surface finish Team.
* Assist GRP Senior Supervisor with providing SME advice for liaison with external agencies.
* Optimising output to meet the business needs and demonstrate commitment to Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement.
* Carry out associated roles as directed by the business needs.
What you need to do the role:
* Possess composite repair experience (Tri-Service course STC2043 delivered at RAF Wittering by 71(Inspection & Repair) Sqn; or Tri-Service course TEM028, delivered at HMS Sultan or is able to display civilian equivalent qualifications.
* Have been previously employed within an EASA/Mil Part 145 organisation.
* Have working knowledge of military or civilian aircraft maintenance documentation and publications.
* Able to interpret engineering drawings.
* Have experience in Surface Finish activities with high volume low pressure spray guns.
* Hold full driving licence
* Possess good communication skills both written and verbal.
* Have basic IT skills
