Clerk of Works\n\nDaniel Owen is looking for a Clerk of Works to join a housing association, who are committed to delivering high-quality, sustainable homes that strengthen communities and enhance lives. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clerk of Works to ensure the quality, compliance, and integrity of their construction and refurbishment projects.\n\nLocation: East Midlands (regional)\n\nPosition: Clerk of Works\n\nSalary: Up to £55,000 per annum + package\n\nContract Type: Permanent\n\nAvailability: This role is immediately available\n\nThe Role\n\nReporting to the Project Manager, the Clerk of Works will act as the Group's on-site representative across a variety of developments in the East Midlands.
The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and inspecting the quality of work, ensuring adherence to drawings, specifications, regulatory standards, and contract terms.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nCarry out regular site inspections to assess workmanship, quality, and safety\nEnsure compliance with building regulations, NHBC standards, and company specifications\nMaintain detailed records and site reports, identifying and reporting any defects or deviations\nAttend site meetings and liaise with contractors, consultants, and internal teams\nSupport the handover and snagging process to ensure timely and satisfactory completion\nPromote best practices in construction quality, health and safety, and sustainabilityPerson Specification\n\nProven experience in a Clerk of Works, Site Inspector, or construction quality role\nRelevant professional qualifications (e.g. ICWCI, CIOB) or equivalent experience\nStrong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legislative requirements\nExcellent attention to detail, communication, and reporting skills\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple site visits across various locations\nFull UK driving licence (essential)How to Apply:\n\nIf you are interested in working for this established company, please apply with your updated CV
