Children’s Continuing Care Team - Family Support Worker Band 3/4 (dependent on experience).
We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic Family Support Workers to join our team as a Band 3 / Band 4 (dependent on qualification and experience). The band 4 position requires experience working with those receiving long term ventilation and complex health needs.
The Children’s Continuing Care Team provides specialist care to children and young people with complex health needs in the community setting 24/7 across North and South Derbyshire, therefore the ability to drive is highly desirable. These complex health needs range from epilepsy, enteral feeding, tracheostomy care to full home ventilation and includes some children with life limiting conditions.

The shifts and times you will be working will be dependent on the children you are allocated to work with.
You will be required to work a variety of clinical shifts including nights, weekends, bank holidays and twilight shifts, we also have a number of day shifts and some long days. These shifts will be worked in the Children's Homes, Nursery/Schools, Respite Centres or occasionally at Royal Derby Hospital either as a lone worker or working alongside members of the team when 2 staff are required.
You will be required to move and handle patients up to 70kg with 2 people staff/parent and wear PPE including FFP masks when the child is positive to coronavirus and when required during throughout the Aerosol generating procedures.
