The Role
This is an exciting new role within the team that will be split between working across several departments. The majority of the time will be spent within the Business Administration department. You will also be working in the Clinical Coding department during busy periods and also providing non-patient facing administrative support to our other administrative teams. Experience of working in a busy customer facing business support function. Have an understanding of process mapping and process improvement methodology. Proficient use of Patient Administration Systems: PIMS and or TrakCare would be an advantage. Proficient use of Word / Excel
As a Business Administrator, you will:
1. Assist in the financial administration of patient accounts.
2. Provide excellent stakeholder/customer service at all times.
3. Work with the clinical coding department to scan and upload notes and reports to the central coding portal.
4. Ensure that information received from external stakeholders (e.g. medical secretaries, patients) meets the minimum level of compliance.
5. Check and update where necessary, the details provided by our patients to the invoicing system.
6. Resolve Data Quality issues.
7. Support any other Business Administration requirements within the department.
To succeed as a Business Administrator, you will:
8. Have experience in working in a busy customer facing business support function.
9. Be a confident communicator with proven experience of dealing with customer queries.
10. Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
11. Be confident in working with numbers and large volumes of data.
12. Be educated to GCSE level in English and Maths, with an NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent.
13. Have excellent IT skills (Outlook/Excel/Word).
14. Have a strong attention to detail.
15. Ability to develop good working relationships with key stakeholders within the business.
This will be a varied role that plays a vital part in supporting our Finance and Administration teams.
