Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales and Marketing Manager to lead our sales initiatives and marketing strategies at two hotels located in Newbury and Watlington. As a Sales and Marketing manager you are responsible to develop and foster business through pro-active direct sales, marketing, telemarketing, direct mail, appointment calls and tours of the hotel. Also develops strategic action plans for hotels to drive measurable, incremental sales revenue.
Identify areas of opportunity in performance and recommend tools and sales training to optimize performance of sales team. Additionally, work with individual hotel teams to identify skill development areas and properly deploy sales and marketing resources.
Duties
* Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve company objectives.
* Analyse market data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create integrated marketing campaigns that align with sales goals.
* Utilise Salesforce to track sales performance, manage customer relationships, and generate reports.
* Conduct regular training sessions for the sales team to enhance their skills and product knowledge.
* Monitor competitors' activities and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
* Prepare presentations for stakeholders that effectively communicate sales forecasts, strategies, and results.
* Responsible for Corporate, Travel Agents, wedding, meetings and conference business for the hotel.
* Identify trends and understand the hotels business strategies then set goals and to determine action plans to meet those goals.
* Prepare an annual budget to meet marketing and sales financial goals
* Develop field sales action plans and advertising to accomplish marketing and sales goals
* Identify different consumer requirements to properly identify marketing opportunities
* Research and capitalize on different marketing opportunities to improve product marketability and profitability
* Anticipate new opportunities to maintain relationship with important clients
* Gather, investigate and summarize data and trends to provide accurate information through reports
* Stay up to date on job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, attending conferences and workshops, reading professional publications, maintaining a personal network and joining professional organizations
* Represent Hotels in various events and exhibition.
* Able to provide Quick and timely responses, immediate communication to the properties, develop professional long-term business relationships.
* Work closely with Revenue Manager to ensure proposed rate negotiations meet the financial needs of the hotels.
* Develop strong relationships with on property front office team to ensure working in unity and always striving to achieve the same goals.
* Sales calls to potential clients to assist in development of the account and acquire new business.
* Targeting key accounts potential for the company.
* Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
* Develops relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities.
* Actively monitor online contents and promote hotel services through all channels (Social Media, websites, Travel Agents sites and online publications)
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a sales management role, with a strong understanding of marketing principles.
* Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
* Proficient in using Salesforce or similar CRM software for managing customer relationships.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a knack for persuasive presentation.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organisational skills.
* A degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
