Position: Maintenance Technician Location: 1A Parliament Square, EH1 1RF & 50 Rose Street North Lane, EH2 2NP, Edinburgh, UK Responsibilities: - Conduct repairs and maintenance tasks in apartments to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for our guests. - Respond promptly to guest needs on a same-day basis, delivering a high level of service. - Ensure all maintenance jobs are completed within specified timeframes and meet agreed-upon standards. - Proactively identify and address any additional maintenance requirements. - Interact with guests in a warm and professional manner, exceeding their expectations to contribute to a 5-star experience. - Procure materials for repairs and maintenance as needed. - Perform periodic Fire, Health, and Safety checks, maintaining accurate records of checks. - Complete maintenance checklists for all departures, highlighting issues to the management team. - Utilize in-house systems (e.g., Trail or equivalent) to schedule and document maintenance checks. - Train and support staff in accurately recording maintenance issues using in-house systems. - Undertake preventive maintenance tasks, including repairs, decorating, plumbing, and electrical work, to minimize potential defects. Qualifications: - Previous experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a hospitality setting. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work efficiently. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Knowledge of Fire and Health & Safety regulations. - Flexibility to work at different branch offices within a 10-mile radius, if required.
