Job Title: Assistant Joinery Workshop Manager
Location: North West London
Salary: £40,000 per annum + potential bonus of up to 50% of salary
Our client, a leading interior fit-out company, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Joinery Workshop Manager. The company specializes in the manufacture of bespoke cabinetry, specialist retail furniture, and all other joinery items. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the joinery workshop operations, supervising a team of 5 staff members, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and manage a team of 5 joinery staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards.
* Oversee the production of bespoke cabinetry, specialist retail furniture, and other joinery items.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including the operation of the spray booth.
* Collaborate with the design team to ensure technical drawings are accurately followed.
* Allocate tasks and manage workflow based on project priorities.
* Conduct regular quality checks on completed joinery work to ensure it meets company and client specifications.
* Maintain accurate production records and inspection reports.
* Liaise with clients to provide updates on project progress and timelines.
* Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce costs.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a joinery or woodworking workshop, preferably in a supervisory role.
* Strong understanding of joinery production processes and quality control principles.
* Proficiency in using and maintaining woodworking tools and machinery.
* Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
* Outstanding communication and people skills.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a manufacturing environment.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Previous experience in supervising staff in a similar environment is essential.
