Opportunity: SEN Teaching Assistant (Full-Time, Term-Time Only)

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Cranborne, Dorset
Hourly Pay: £11.72 - £12.78
Annual Salary: £20,941.30 - £22,835.30 (Term-Time Only)
Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week, Term-Time Only
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work with students aged 11-16 with special educational needs, including Autism. Supporting the teaching staff, you'll assist students in both classroom and outdoor activities such as Bushcraft and life skills, helping them grow academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one support, ensuring the well-being and safety of students.
* Assist students in meeting the goals outlined in their Education and Healthcare Plans (EHCPs).
* Implement tailored positive behaviour strategies for individual students.
* Keep detailed records of incidents, accidents, and health and safety concerns.
* Foster social interaction and promote teamwork among students.

No prior experience is needed—just a genuine passion for working with young people. The ideal candidate will:
* Be enthusiastic about supporting students and building strong relationships.
* Handle challenging behaviour with patience and a positive attitude.
* Have a creative, problem-solving mindset.
* Demonstrate good communication and teamwork skills.
* Have basic skills in numeracy, literacy, and ICT.
* GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4 or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
