We are currently looking to recruit an IT Support Assistant based from our Cardiff HQ.

Purpose
Reporting to the Head of IT Support & Security, our IT Support Assistants handle first line support requests, diagnose faults and solve technical and application problems, either over the phone, in person or via remote access. Helping optimize IT infrastructure by identifying areas for improvement, implementing best practices, and deploying efficient solutions. Having awareness of the importance of Information Security policies and processes applicable to our organization and our Cybersecurity Essentials Certification.
Responsibilities
1. Keep systems and applications running smoothly and ensure users get the maximum benefit from them.
2. Support the roll-out of new applications.
3. Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues.
4. Respond within agreed timescales to support requests.
5. Work continuously on a task until completion.
6. Prioritise and manage many open tickets at one time.
7. Rapidly establish a good working relationship with internal teams, manage IT service provider, application suppliers, clients, and other suppliers.
8. Monitor and update IT Asset lists and portals.
9. Promote cybersecurity best practices among end-users to mitigate security risks and threats.
10. Ensure compliance with IT security policies, procedures, and regulations.
11. Test and evaluate new technology.
Skills & Experience
1. Two years of experience in IT.
2. Knowledge of operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring tools.
3. Hands-on using Microsoft’s suite of cloud-based products; SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra, O365 etc.
4. Knowledge of ITIL framework.
5. Ability to work as a team.
6. Excellent interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information.
8. Preferred Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent professional certification.
Location
Cardiff but with travel across current and future Cardo office locations when required.
