Job Description
Qualified Social Worker, Swindon Borough Council, Childrens Long Term Safeguarding Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team.
The team works extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager.
The responsibilities will include:
1. Undertake comprehensive assessments including parenting assessments in a timely way to inform development of outcome-focused care plans with Children and their Families.
2. Undertake care proceedings within the court, both private and public.
3. Initiate and complete within court timescales and achieve permanency plans for children including adoption.
4. Understand and respond to the complexity of risks and evidence on records, including providing analysis of interventions with children and families.
5. Use theoretical perspectives to inform decision making and practice.
6. Liaise with other professionals.
7. 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation).
8. 3 month Temporary Contract.
9. Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance.

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent, must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS, and be a car driver.
