Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to troubleshoot and repair various types of machinery and vehicles. This role is essential in ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely, contributing to the overall productivity of our operations. Potential to gain experience with Plant Machinery and HGVs.
Responsibilities
1. Conduct regular maintenance checks on machinery and vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
2. Diagnose mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner.
3. Replace worn or defective parts using appropriate tools and techniques.
4. Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
5. Collaborate with other team members to ensure safety standards are met and upheld.
6. Keep the workshop clean, organised, and stocked with necessary tools and supplies.
7. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in mechanical technology.
Experience
1. Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role is preferred.
2. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, engines, and electrical components.
3. Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and repair tools.
4. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
6. Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanics or automotive technology are advantageous but not mandatory.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to £48,000.00 per year
