Artisan Recruitment Group Ltd are looking for an Electrician to work in the Social Housing sector for a company that prides themselves on high-quality compliance and energy services that are tailored to meet the unique needs of each of their clients.
Job Purpose:
Core duties include installation, inspection & testing, and the maintenance & repair of all electrical systems. Carry out the wiring and fault finding of central heating control systems. Additionally, have the ability to fault find, repair, and replace door entry and warden call systems. Conduct themselves professionally and responsibly at all times on behalf of The Company, ensuring all works are in line with codes of practice, company procedures, and stipulations.
Duties:
1. Maintain job time frame and quality standards of the company by working efficiently, effectively, and safely with a high quality finish.
2. Deliver a high quality service to the client and their customers, respecting all individuals and meeting challenges.
3. Carry out all works strictly in line with company procedures and all standards within the industry: - code of practice and best practice.
4. Perform repairs and minor works as required for installation call backs or remedial works.
5. Respond to urgent calls as part of a call out Rota.
6. Order parts and manage own jobs to ensure fast resolution to the client's issue or fault.
7. Clear each job from the hand-held device and back office system upon completion.
8. Liaise with residents and clients regarding the works being undertaken.
9. Ensure all PPE is present and correct at all times.
10. Ensure all equipment is calibrated and in good working order.
11. Keep all appointments and inform tenants/clients accordingly.
12. Carry out duties as required by any senior manager or staff representing such manager.
13. Stay up to date with all codes of practice involving your discipline.
14. Report variations to any works and update the administration department on changes to site requirements.
15. Engage and attend all staff briefings and company functions.
16. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
17. Liaise with other engineers and staff to ensure targets are reached, organizing plumbing and building works on installations.
18. Produce a certificate or job sheet for all works and any other required reports or records.
19. Submit valid and accurate time sheets, delivery notes, expenses, and any other documentation weekly.
Skills/Qualifications:
1. General competence in the given trade, NVQ 2 or equivalent, 18th edition wiring regulations, C&G 2391.
2. Experience/Qualifications in fault diagnosis, repair, and installation of door entry and warden call systems, or transferable skills, is a distinct advantage.
3. Punctuality, professionalism, flexibility, and a working knowledge of Mobile PDA.
Desirable:
1. Gold ECS NVQ level 3 card.
2. 2391 or 2395 & 2394 in testing and inspection.
Experience Required:
1. Experience of working within the Social Housing market on installation projects and maintenance contracts, including working with residents and clients directly, would be an advantage.
2. Experience in wiring domestic heating systems with the capability to adapt and learn.
3. A clean UK driving license and DBS check will be required.
