About the role
As the Head of Product for Tax and Treasury, you will be responsible for the strategic positioning and continuous improvement of our Tax and Treasury products. You will lead a team of Product Managers, ensuring the delivery of high-value products and features that meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders. Your role will involve close collaboration with senior members of various business units, across Finance, Tax and Treasury, to drive efficiencies and innovation in our Tax and Treasury solutions.
You will be responsible for
* Strategic Leadership: Set the vision, goals, objectives, and key strategies for the Tax and Treasury product area. Drive continuous improvement and innovation to ensure our products meet the evolving needs of the business.
* Product Development: Oversee the development and delivery of Tax and Treasury products, ensuring they are efficient and aligned with business goals.
* Collaboration: Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across Tax and Treasury and other relevant departments. Partner closely with engineering and data teams to deliver integrated solutions. Work with the Finance Change Programme to deliver Tax and Treasury projects.
* Performance Management: Establish, manage and track key performance metrics. Utilise dashboards to communicate the status of key measures and ensure alignment with business goals.
* Team Leadership: Build and nurture a high-performing team of Product Managers. Empower and develop your team to continually deliver value and drive product success.
* Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with Tax and Treasury products. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
* Market Research: Conduct market research to understand business needs and industry trends. Leverage insights to influence product outcomes and strategic goals.
* Technological Innovation: Stay abreast of technological advancements and incorporate relevant innovations into the product roadmap.
You will need
* I have knowledge of the Treasury Management Systems market and some direct experience with a leading Treasury Management System (preferably Openlink Findur).
* I am awareness of data analytics tools, such as Alteryx, and can assess when they should be used by my business teams.
* I work closely with Finance, Tax or Treasury business teams to understand their requirements.
* I understand the Product Management lifecycle, product delivery process and the importance of an Agile mindset to discover, design, define, develop and deliver small increments of the most important opportunities that will drive growth and value for my products.
* I advise and influence product teams and stakeholders to make sure that product, business and Technology OKRs are delivered.
* I am responsible for developing, advocating and clearly communicating the product roadmap at a strategic/portfolio level to all senior stakeholders and the wider Tesco organisation.
* I understand my business, including the key commercial drivers, business metrics and performance indicators, and can play a part in the decision-making process.
* I am able to continually deliver value through my product team.
* I lead vision and strategy discussions across business and technology, making sure that product teams are self-motivated, empowered, customer-centric and outcome-led.
* I understand large scale data platforms and how they can increase the scalability, availability, performance, and security of my organisation’s data.
