The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in aligning procurement strategies with organisational goals, ensuring best practices are upheld, and delivering value through optimised procurement processes. This role involves engaging with stakeholders, managing supplier relationships, and overseeing key contracts to meet business needs effectively while mitigating risks. What you’ll be doing Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs, ensure that procurement policy and guidelines support the needs of the organisation, and that best practise is delivered. Support functional leads on complex negotiations to optimise overall commercial position. Manage the end-to-end procurement process for key contracts in collaboration with key business areas Develop supplier and sub-category strategies as appropriate. Ensure processes and procedures are fully documented and followed. Identify potential suppliers, evaluate their products and services, and choose those offering the best value Play a lead role in supplier selection process contract negotiation, implementation, and management Manage existing suppliers, ensure contractual obligations are met, and negotiate new contracts Ensure all suppliers have SLAs and Terms & conditions in place which are robust and ensures high levels of service whilst mitigating risk to the business About you: Strong understanding of software license metrics and software procurement trends. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Experience in managing the end-to-end procurement process. Ability to analyse and manage contracts at all levels. Excellent organisational skills. Ability to identify issues through sound analysis and application of commercial acumen in all situations. Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously. What to expect from our interview process We will have a two-stage interview process for this position that will consist of a first stage in person with our Head of Finance and a second stage interview with our Head of Finance and another member of our Finance team. Both interviews will be at our Aeroworks office in Manchester City Centre. We want to make sure everybody has the opportunity to perform at their best. Ways of working Our full time hours are 37.5 per week, but we don"t have rigid working hours so you can find the working pattern that"s right for you. We have core working hours between 10am - 4pm, so we can collaborate and enjoy the social side of work. We also have hybrid working so we all work from home and from our Aeroworks office in Manchester City Centre.
