In this role, you will:
GB Bank is looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Loan Completions Assistant to join our dynamic Lending Operations Team, based at our London headquarters. This is a fantastic opportunity to become a key player in our growing organisation and contribute to the smooth and efficient processing of our SME loans.
As Loan Completions Assistant, you will provide sound operational support within our SME Loan Completions Team, including producing loan documentation, instructing and monitoring property and legal due diligence and undertaking payment processes to ensure loans are drawn down quickly and accurately. Additionally, you will act as a conduit for various areas of the bank, helping to coordinate and organise all completion activities accurately and on time.
The best part about this role is the ability to work in a small team and identify ways to continuously improve our customer and broker experiences.
Key areas of responsibility:
* Delivering excellent service supporting the day-to-day SME loan completions activity across our lending product range.
* Preparing loan offer documentation and instructing property valuations, and other specialist property due diligence reports.
* Instructing, appointing, and liaising with the Bank’s legal panel firms to ensure the accurate and timely perfection of loan and security documentation.
* Undertaking loan drawdown and repayment processes and procedures to ensure loan drawdowns and incoming payments are processed accurately and efficiently.
* Building great relationships with GB Bank’s Relationship Management, Credit Underwriting and other teams you’ll work closely with.
* Acting in compliance with GB Bank’s policies, risk appetite, procedures, and regulations.
A bit about you – You are/have:
* A good understanding of the end-to-end commercial lending application lifecycle, from application to decision and experience in SME loan completion, servicing, and post completion activities.
* Knowledge and practical application of commercial legal and valuation due diligence processes along with wider commercial risk issues.
* Passionate and driven by quality and pace with a strong desire to exceed customer expectations.
* Laser-focused attention to detail - your organisation skills are second to none. You are planned, prepared, and can effectively handle competing priorities.
* Strong verbal, numeric, and written communication skills – as you’ll be interacting with our customers, commercial finance brokers and suppliers.
* Excited by the opportunity to work in a start-up bank with a strong purpose.
* Confident – able to be pragmatic, exercise good judgement, and be comfortable dealing with senior stakeholders.
* Ability to use Microsoft Excel to an Intermediate level.

What else do I need to know?
Location: London-based (in-person)
Salary: £32,000 - £42,000 per annum (commensurate with experience)
Hours: 35 Hours per week
