Working with a small, agile Design team and multidisciplinary team you will be responsible for transforming concepts into reality. We are a diverse group of engineers, each bringing unique expertise to the table, from naval architecture and marine engineering to electrical and automation systems.
Responsibilities
* Develop and design electrical systems for marine vessels, including:
o Power distribution systems (AC/DC).
o Lighting and control systems.
o Propulsion systems.
o Automation and control systems.
o Communication and navigation systems.
o Safety systems (e.g., fire alarm, emergency lighting).
* Perform electrical calculations, simulations, and load analysis.
* Prepare electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
* Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, LR, DNV GL), and MCA regulations.
* Adhere to all health and safety guidelines appropriate to the role.
Experience
* Degree/HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
* Proven track record as an electrical engineer in both design office and construction environment.
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems.
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
