My client, a leading manufacturing company based in the Reading / Caversham area is looking to recruit a Sales Administrator on a full time, permanent basis. Job summary The Sales and Administrator will play a key role in supporting sales and marketing, through various administrative and customer-focused tasks. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in transitioning into a sales career, providing a solid foundation and hands-on experience with sales and marketing operations. Its a small, busy sales office so you will need to enjoy the buzz of working under pressure and to tight deadlines whilst using your own initiative. Key responsibilities Processing customer orders ensuring all details and pricing is correct in line with agreements in place Updating the CRM customer records with relevant information Liaise with production team on delivery schedules Act as a single point of contact for customers and take communications from customers and act upon them in a timely fashion, managing the accounts with the Sales Manager. Progressing of orders up to and including arranging despatch Developing companywide personal relationships - internal and external Raising of quotations and quotation progression Preparation of simple costings on repeat parts. Management of on-line shop for stock products. Competencies Able to work as part of a small team across all the functions in the business. High level of accuracy and ability to solve problems. Good level of numeracy to assist with preparing quotations. Proven experience in a sales administration role within manufacturing. High level of customer focus and experience in customer service. Confident telephone manner. Excellent communication skills written and verbal. Ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines. Proficient in Word, Outlook and Excel. Previous experience of CRM is desirable. Enthusiasm and willingness to learn about company products and self-motivation. Profit Related pay bonus scheme and contributory pension scheme. Hours of work are 08.30 17.00 Monday to Thursday and 08.30 15.30 on Fridays covering 38.5 hours per week. There is some flexibility with start time and this could be adjusted to 08.00am start and hours adjusted accordingly. An attractive salary of £28-35k per annum is on offer for the right candidate and will very much depend on experience.
