Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse Medicine

The facilities at AURA are state-of-the-art and include four operating theatres, a 160 slice CT scanner, Injector pump, C-arm fluoroscopy unit, Cell-salvage autotransfusion unit, intra-operative imaging with Near-InfraRed Fluorescence (NIRF), Interventional Radiology suite, minimally invasive surgical equipment, cystoscopy/endoscopy/bronchoscopy, 2 chemotherapy rooms plus a hood room, contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS), digital radiography, and a full in-house laboratory.
We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join our nursing team of 40 Veterinary Care Assistants, RVNs, and Senior RVNs. Previous referral experience and possession of advanced nursing skills would be beneficial. However, you will be fully supported by our clinical team in an induction process tailored to your individual experience and requirements.
The role involves working alongside one of our internal medicine specialists, ensuring their clinical patients are effectively managed through the hospital. Tasks include assisting with consults and procedures, communicating with clients, and managing the day-to-day diary. The candidate must be organised, have strong communication skills, and be highly driven.
An interest in internal medicine is important, and professional development is encouraged. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills and to be challenged in a busy referral environment.
The role is 40 hours a week, working four 10-hour shifts per week to include weekends, on calls, and bank holidays on a rotational basis.
