Role: Residential Support Worker
Salary: £24779.00 plus £1775 London Allowance
Location: Ealing
Contract/Hours: Permanent Full time 37 hours per week which include 1 x Sleep In shift.
Shifts times are 2pm to 10pm, 9am to 5pm, 9am to 9pm (normally school holidays) 10am to 10pm (normally school holidays and weekends)

About the Service:
Haydock Short Breaks based in Northolt is a 6 bedded house providing short breaks to children and their families aged 8 to 18 years of age. The service supports children and young people who have various disabilities and complex needs. The aim is to ensure that they provide a fun and welcoming environment. This is part of our Ealing based residential children's home Haydock Avenue. Our aim is to give every child a customised opportunity to have fun, build skills and promote independence at their pace.
A bit about the role
Our Residential Support Workers create a safe and supportive environment for children and young people to grow and develop. You will ensure their wellbeing is prioritised by delivering personalised care, guidance, and advocacy. It is key that they stay safe and healthy and can reach their full potential.

How you'll help to create brighter futures
In the role as Residential Support Worker, this is a senior role, you will be promoting Action for Children's values as well as supporting the Registered Manager, Service Coordinator and Teams Leaders to achieve positive outcomes for the young person.
What you will be doing:
* Providing case/care planning management, including assessing, reviewing, and managing risk.
* Co-ordinating responsibilities within the service, with multi agency and producing family information, including analysis and written reports.
* Attending at professional meetings including reviews, court work etc.
* Leading shifts with the primary aim of the provision of a high-quality service.
* Supervising and guiding staff as required, in accordance with Action for Children policies and procedures.
* Leading by example with the application of Action for Children's policy procedures and professional practice standards and in line with registration requirements
Let's talk about you:
* Experience of leading Shifts in a Care setting is essential.
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or recognised equivalent).
* Experience and training in safeguarding.
* An innovative and creative approach to problem solving.
* Experience of developing tailored care plans
* The ability to create a safe and fun environment for both staff and children in the home and in the community.
