An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time, two-year fixed-term Research Data Quality Officer to join the UKCRC fully registered Derby Clinical Trials Support Unit (Derby CTSU). In this pivotal role, you will support the Derby CTSU Data Management team with data management and quality assurance tasks for studies under the unit’s oversight. The Derby CTSU actively supports a diverse portfolio of multi-centre studies across various disease areas, sponsored by both UK-based and international sponsors. This position involves close collaboration with Clinical Trials Managers, Medical Statisticians, Data Clerks, Investigators, and pharmaceutical companies to ensure the highest standards of data integrity and accuracy. The role demands a dynamic, autonomous approach, adapting to various settings while rigorously implementing quality assurance standards throughout the study lifecycle.
This role is home-based not in the office, but occasional attendance to the office may be required
Conducts data cleaning and query management of DCTSU study data
Escalation of observed trends or errors in study data to the Data Leads.
Overseeing study database access across all studies - including development of QC activities around this process and monitoring study inboxes for requests.
Conducting planned data quality activities to support the data managers - eTMF review, audit trail review, timely review of key data management documentation, manual review of critical data and assisting with data quality assessments.
Assisting with study central monitoring actions.
Assisting with User Access Testing of study databases, database modifications, randomisation system set-up and Power BI reports.
Assisting with PBI server issues
Extracting reports for Power BI manually when required
