As your experience develops, your responsibilities will include:
* Undertake under the supervision of Senior Engineers instrumentation and control systems design on a variety of projects.
* Design and engineer control system architectures, showing programmable controllers and Human Machine Interfaces, Control Room equipment.
* Contribute to the writing of Control System Philosophy documents and functional specifications.
* Produce Engineering Calculations.
* Produce Cause and Effect Matrices to underpin safety activities.
* Produce Instrument Location, Hook-Up, Termination and Loop diagrams.
* Produce Instrument Data Sheets.
* Compile Instrument cable routing and cable management drawings and cable schedules.
* Produce Input Output and Alarm Schedules.

To be eligible for this opportunity, you will have some relevant experience (excluding placements) and have a degree (obtained no earlier than 2023) in one of the following disciplines:
* Electrical Engineering
* Electronic and Control Engineering
* Instrumentation and Control Engineering
Please note all of our opportunities require a bachelor’s degree as a minimum; a master's is desirable.
In your application, you should be able to demonstrate your interest in the role and working at Mott MacDonald through relevant experience, such as studying relevant modules or previous work experience.

* Well-rounded knowledge on wider environmental issues.
* Familiarity with data management, analytics, and digital technologies.
* Understanding of energy infrastructure and the energy sector.

* Excellent verbal communication skills, which allow you to confidently liaise with clients and team members.
* Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
