Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and highly organised Paralegal to join our Conveyancing department. The successful candidate will assist the fee earners with the management of conveyancing transactions from instruction through to completion, while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and follow up letters of engagement following client instruction.
* Complete compliance on all residential conveyancing matters.
* Liaise with clients, solicitors, lenders, and estate agents to ensure files are accurate and all parties are updated on the transaction.
* Prepare contracts.
* Conduct searches.
* Prepare completion statements.
* Set up completions.
* Send completion letters/calls.
* Process Stamp Duty submissions.
* Handle notices of assignment/transfers.
* Process all post-completion work such as AP1s, requisitions, and completion of registrations.
* Draft legal documents ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
* Maintain excellent file management.
* Provide administrative assistance to the team.
* Attend client meetings as required to support the legal team.
* Perform additional duties as appropriate.
Requirements
* Have an interest in property.
* Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role within a legal environment.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with strong IT skills.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* Strong time management skills.
* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
* A keen eye for detail with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
